New this season from Onsite Window Screening Pros of St. Louis: Winter Window Panels. They’re vinyl panels we measure and install on your windows to help block the cold drafts that sneak in around older or leaky windows during St. Louis winters.
What it is
Each Winter Window Panel is a vinyl panel set in a frame and custom-sized to your window opening. We build the frames ourselves, the same way we build custom screen frames, so each panel is made to fit your window rather than being a one-size-fits-all kit.
Inside or outside
Panels can mount on the inside or the outside of the window. We’ll talk through which works better for your windows when we measure.
Why drafts matter
Drafty windows make a room feel colder than the thermostat says and make your furnace work harder. Stopping the air that leaks in around a window is one of the simplest ways to make a room more comfortable in January and February.
Who it’s for
If you feel cold air near certain windows, see curtains move on windy days, or have a room that never seems to warm up, a winter window panel can help. It’s a simple option for older windows you aren’t ready to replace, for rentals, and for spare rooms, basements and sunrooms that get chilly.
How it works
Call or text us to set up a visit. We measure each window, build the panels to fit, and install them for you. There’s no plastic film to tape up and no hair dryer required.
In the spring
When warm weather comes back, you take the panels down and store them until next winter, so your windows are free for screens and fresh air.
Pairs with your screen service
While we’re measuring your windows, it’s a good time to have torn screens repaired or missing screens rebuilt, so everything’s ready when warm weather comes back.
